CHANGING THE PERCEPTION OF SENIOR LIVING
A few years ago, my mother’s fight with cancer ended. She fought breast cancer several times, then had a cancer that enveloped her left side and grew every day until she died. Unfortunately, I could not be with her since she lived in Germany and I live on the west coast of the United States. For her, the fight was a lonely one. Other than phone calls that came in from her children and the support system that she had, it was a lonely and quiet fight to the end.
Part of what I wanted to do with GoldenBoomers.com was provide as much information that I can to help those with cancer. I start today with a resource: The most obvious in the U.S. is the American Cancer Society. (http://www.cancer.org/). This site is very resourceful!
